Welcome to the leadership team of the RM of Wawken No. 93. Our dedicated Reeve and Councillors work diligently to serve the community, uphold local values, and guide the RM toward a strong and sustainable future. Together, they form the backbone of our municipal government—ensuring the RM remains a great place to live, work, and grow.

🧭 Reeve

• Reeve: Darrell Petterson

The Reeve is the head of the municipal council and represents the RM in both internal governance and external affairs. Key responsibilities include:

• Leadership: Providing strategic direction and representing the RM’s interests
• Council Meetings: Chairing meetings and ensuring orderly proceedings
• Public Representation: Acting as the primary spokesperson at events and with other levels of government
• Policy Development: Collaborating with Council to shape policies that reflect community needs
• Decision Making: Leading discussions and decisions on budgeting, planning, and municipal operations

🏛️ Councillors

Councillors play a vital role in the governance of the RM. Their responsibilities include:

• Legislation: Enacting bylaws and resolutions that guide municipal operations
• Policy Making: Developing policies that support community well-being and growth
• Community Engagement: Listening to residents and ensuring their concerns are reflected in Council decisions
• Committee Work: Participating in committees focused on areas such as infrastructure, finance, and community development
• Collaborative Decision Making: Working with the Reeve and fellow Councillors to make informed choices for the RM

Regular Meetings of Council are held on the second Thursday of each month unless otherwise advertised.
