Controlled Burn
In accordance with RM of Wawken Bylaw 1/2018, Council may issue a Fire Ban at any time Anyone in violation of this bylaw may be subject to fines and penalties.
Report controlled burns from anywhere in the province by calling: 1-866-404-4911. This phone number is available 24 hours a day.
If you are planning a controlled burn on your property, you are encouraged to report it to the Saskatchewan Controlled Burn Notification Line before lighting the fire. Reporting your burn helps emergency dispatchers distinguish between planned, authorized burns and potential wildfires, reducing unnecessary emergency responses and ensuring fire departments can focus on actual emergencies.
Reporting a burn does not replace your responsibility to burn safely or comply with any municipal fire bans, provincial fire restrictions, or other applicable regulations. Always monitor your fire, have the necessary equipment available to control it, and ensure it is completely extinguished before leaving the site.

- Your Land Location
- Your RM Number
- Your Fire Service Provider
- Location Details
- What are you burning?
- How long will your burn last?
- Your name and phone number
You will be asked to call back once the burn has been completed
